Louisiana required steps

• Confirm the security deposit cap

  No statutory cap (La. R.S. § 9:3251).

• Set a lease-compliant late fee

  Must be in lease

• Plan entry-notice language

  Give at least 24 hours' notice before entering, absent an emergency.

• Set month-to-month termination notice

  10 days (month-to-month).

• Attach every required disclosure

  Lead-based paint, Flood history (Act 195 of 2021).

• Plan deposit return timing

  1 month after termination (La. R.S. § 9:3251).

• Collect state-specific lease fields

  Property manager (if any).
