Montana required steps

• Confirm the security deposit cap

  No statutory cap (Mont. Code § 70-25-201).

• Set a lease-compliant late fee

  Must be in lease

• Plan entry-notice language

  Give at least 24 hours' notice before entering, absent an emergency.

• Set month-to-month termination notice

  30 days (month-to-month).

• Attach every required disclosure

  Lead-based paint, Mold knowledge, Meth contamination.

• Plan deposit return timing

  10 days (no deductions) / 30 days (with deductions) (Mont. Code § 70-25-201).

• Collect state-specific lease fields

  Property owner legal name, Property manager (if any).
